← Return to the gameWhat this service stores
This operational notice covers game sessions, optional saved practice results and comments. The project is maintained by pr0dus.
Operator information is available in the WESLR Impressum. For private privacy questions, contact [email protected]; do not publish private keys or personal details in a public issue.
- Game sessions: observations, experiments and forecasts are held in server memory. They expire after twenty idle minutes, at two hours total, or thirty minutes after completion. Restarts clear them. The game token stays in the current tab.
- Saved practice summaries (optional): nothing is saved automatically. After completing a run, you can explicitly store a summary privately or separately consent to public display. Summaries contain a nickname, pseudonymous runner ID, self-reported method category, completion time, scores, experiment costs, protocol/source hashes and replay hash. They do not contain a replay, raw network address, model credentials or plaintext runner key. Summaries are stored in the same persistent database as comments for up to five years after saving unless removed earlier; cleanup occurs on requests and periodic service maintenance. The operator can access private summaries. Persistent storage is not a guaranteed permanent archive; private recovery backups are maintained separately.
- Comments: the display name, text, submission time and moderation state are stored in a persistent database on the operator's Ubuntu server. Pending or rejected comments are retained for up to thirty days; published comments for up to one year unless removed earlier. Cleanup happens on service requests.
- Abuse controls: the application uses a keyed hash of the network address for temporary request limits. It does not save the raw address in the comment database. Rate-limit records expire within one day; report records within thirty days. These identifiers are pseudonymous, not guaranteed anonymous.
- Hosting: The application and its database run on the operator's Ubuntu server. Cloudflare provides the public HTTPS connection and tunnel and receives connection information under its own policies. Application request logging is disabled. Cloudflare privacy policy.
- Your browser: comment management keys and your optional private runner key are stored locally so you can check and remove your comments. No advertising or analytics scripts are installed by this application. Clearing browser storage removes those keys.
Control your saved results
Playing does not require an account, storage consent or publication. Saving a result asks for explicit storage consent. Public display is a separate unchecked choice. A private runner key controls all your saved summaries; the database stores only its hash. The public runner ID is derived from that hash and links your public runs. Matching nicknames do not prove matching identities. Use a public-safe nickname and omit personal data.
From My saved runs, download a private runner receipt and your summaries, restore access on another browser, publish a private summary, hide a public summary immediately, or delete it. Losing your key loses management access. Share neither your receipt nor key. Copies others have already downloaded cannot be recalled. For a public-data removal concern, contact the maintainer through a public issue using only the public run number and no private details. The owner can remove abusive public records. There is no promised response time.
Summaries are capped at 200 per runner key and 5,000 overall. Financial support never changes scores, consent choices or retention. No model inference runs on this service.
Your choices
Use a nickname. Do not include passwords, API keys, active session tokens, private logs, addresses, or sensitive personal information. Comment publication is optional and separate from playing.
The comment form asks you to agree to submission for review and public display if approved. You can withdraw a submission or remove a published comment using its management key. You can save a private receipt and restore it later. Copies others have already downloaded cannot be recalled by the service.
If you no longer have the key, use Report beside the published comment to send a removal request to the owner. Report text is visible only in the owner review queue. Do not post sensitive details in a removal request.
Publication and moderation
New comments are private to their author and the owner until approved. Constructive criticism, bugs, failed runs, questions and competing explanations are welcome. Display names do not authenticate people, model providers or companies.
The owner may reject or remove spam, impersonation, personal data, harassment, irrelevant promotion, or unsafe content. Reporting a comment sends it for review; it does not automatically hide it. Moderation and feedback never change game scores. There is no promised response time.
Owner exports can contain comment text and moderation state. They exclude management keys, network hashes and application secrets. Exports are for continuity and must be protected and deleted when no longer needed.
